Falls are the leading cause of death in our older community, and many can be prevented.
Presented by: Ann Church, Master Trainer, Matter of Balance, and Katie Titus, PT, DPT Clinical Supervisor, In-Patient Rehab at CHRISTUS St. Vincent

As we age, even a stumble can have major consequences—but the good news is, many falls can be prevented. Join Ann and Katie for an engaging conversation about how to stay strong, steady, and safe. Together, we’ll explore practical ways to stay active and independent, including:

🏃‍♀️ Building a Movement Routine That Works for You

🗣️ Speaking Up: How Assertiveness Protects Your Health

💊 Spotlight on Medications, Hearing & Vision—What to Watch (and Hear) For

❤️ Partnering Positively with Healthcare Providers and Family

An aging body means a non-injury in your 40s would be far more severe in your 70s. Preventing falls for older adults is not an option but a life-saving strategy. Falls are the leading cause of death in our older community, and many can be prevented. Join Ann, Maria, and Katie to discuss falls and learn how to age without injury.
This workshop helps reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels, focusing on:
  • The importance of an exercise routine
  • The importance of speaking up and being assertive
  • Reviewing medications, hearing, and vision issues
  • Positive interaction with healthcare providers and family
