Bernadette Romero-Jaramillo, PT, DPT

Joins us today. She is the Clinical Manager of Christus St. Vincent Sports Medicine here is Santa Fe. She highly values personal and spiritual growth in her patients and others by encouraging these values to help heal the whole body.


Bernadette has practiced in a variety of physical therapy settings since 2003 which include in-patient rehabilitation, acute care, home health care and out-patient therapy. Her scope of practice is diverse from treating a multitude of diagnoses and conditions from neurological, vestibular, balance, functional impairments, wound care, orthopaedic and pelvic health. She has specialized in the treatment of woman’s and men’s pelvic health issues since 2016. As a holistic manual therapist, she addresses the pain, movement dysfunction, health and wellness issues of all of her patients in a comprehensive manner. Bernadette is a Clinical Manager for the physical therapy departments of Christus St. Vincent Sports Medicine and Therapy Services for the Santa Fe and Los Alamos clinics. She has served and worked for Christus St. Vincent’s Hospital over the past 14 years. She is a native of Tesuque/Santa Fe, and is a graduate of Santa Fe High School. She began her profession as a physical therapist in Nevada and moved back to Santa Fe with her husband (her high school sweetheart) to be close their families and to serve the community she loves and grew up in. She enjoys spending time with her daughter Grace by coaching and cheering Grace on with her gifts in academics and sports as well as help care for her aging mom with her 9 siblings. She highly values personal and spiritual growth in her patients and others by encouraging these values to help heal the whole body.


Qualifications

· Licensed Physical Therapist since 2003

· Expertise in the treatment of pelvic floor muscles

· Ongoing continuing professional education in orthopaedics, manual therapy, spine and pelvis rehabilitation, prenatal and postpartum care, pelvic floor dysfunction for women and men, and osteoporosis

· Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT), University of Las Vegas, Nevada

· Masters of Physical Therapy (MSPT), University of Las Vegas, Nevada

· Bachelors of Science in Biology (BS), with a minor in Athletic Training, Eastern New Mexico University
