Villages of Santa Fe

Cindy Coutts

I have been practicing Qigong for over 20 years and became a certified instructor about 10 years ago through the International Tai Chi for Health Institute under Dr. Paul Lam. As an occupational therapist, I initially introduced Qigong to my rehabilitation patients to help improve strength, coordination, and balance. Along the way, I discovered the practice was transforming my own body as well—I gained strength and stability, improved my balance, and significantly reduced my visits to the chiropractor.

Since then, I have shared the gift of Qigong with all of my patients as a powerful way to support long-term health and well-being. Qigong helps improve breathing, flexibility, balance, strength, coordination, and a sense of grounding. The gentle, mindful movements combined with deep breathing enhance oxygenation to the brain and bloodstream, supporting both physical and mental vitality.

I live in Abiquiú, New Mexico, where I practice Qigong while looking out over the beautiful mountains, including Pedernal. I am excited to bring Qigong to our community and look forward to meeting you and practicing together.

If you’d like, I can also:
  • Make this shorter for a website or class flyer
  • Adjust the tone to be more clinical or more spiritual
  • Rewrite it specifically for seniors, rehab clients, or a community class listing
